• Provide aged care clients with home help services • Perform general housekeeping and make beds • Clean, mop and vacuum floors • Wash, fold and iron laundry • Prepare meals and complete grocery shopping • Provide social support and transport to lifestyle activities • Help family carers take a break or attend to other activities • Work independently, solve everyday problems and consult a manager when needed
• Enjoy variety in the day • Passion for providing excellent service • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families • Care about helping aged community members live independently at home • Ability to remain composed when clients have difficult days or when delays occur • Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems • Know when to ask a manager for help • Valid Australian Driver's Licence • Own insured, roadworthy vehicle • Interest in community care or aged care • Experience preferred but not essential • Prior to commencement: Statutory Declaration, National Police check, Working Rights check and pre-employment functional assessment
