📋 Description

• Deliver full-stack product capabilities across frontend, backend, API, and data layers • Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack features • Build frontend experiences using TypeScript, React, or similar technologies • Develop and extend backend services using Kotlin, Spring Boot, and similar technologies • Design, implement, and evolve RESTful APIs • Model, query, and maintain application data with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases • Contribute to microservices and ensure reliable, maintainable integrations • Own moderately complex features from technical discovery through implementation, testing, release, and support • Break work into incremental deliverables and identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs • Debug cross-stack issues and drive them to resolution • Partner with Product, UX, Data Science, QA, and engineering teams • Participate in planning, demos, retrospectives, technical discussions, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing • Improve test coverage, observability, documentation, reliability, maintainability, and performance • Identify technical debt and contribute to plans for addressing it

🎯 Requirements

• Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required across written, virtual, and in-person interactions • 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, or equivalent practical experience • Experience building production software across frontend and backend systems • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or similar frontend frameworks • Familiarity with Kotlin and Spring Boot, or comparable backend service technologies • Experience designing, consuming, or maintaining RESTful APIs • Comfortable with microservices architecture and distributed system concepts • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational database technologies, including data modeling fundamentals • Knowledge of software testing principles and experience writing automated tests • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience collaborating with remote, hybrid, or distributed teams • Familiarity with cybersecurity, networking, or related technical domains preferred • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud-native deployment workflows preferred • Experience improving reliability, maintainability, observability, or performance in production systems preferred • Experience contributing to API design standards, service boundaries, or data modeling decisions preferred • Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced engineers preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred • Must be authorized to work in Costa Rica
