📋 Description

• Partner with Legal, Finance, and Accounting across the Procure-to-Pay process • Act as buyer for assigned lower-value, low-risk spend categories • Evaluate incoming requests for completeness, appropriateness, and policy alignment • Select vendors, confirm reasonable pricing, and ensure favorable payment terms • Conduct light negotiations on price, terms, and renewals; escalate complex matters • Own supplier relationships, including onboarding, performance follow-up, and issue resolution • Analyze spend and volume patterns to identify consolidation and savings opportunities • Create and process requisitions and purchase orders • Route contracts for signature, load documents into systems, and maintain accurate records • Transition manual tasks into intake and orchestration platforms as technology matures • Own workflow exceptions, troubleshoot issues, and refine platform routing and work assembly • Maintain procurement records, contract metadata, and renewal tracking • Identify workflow friction points and recommend improvements • Advise business owners on procurement requests and appropriate next steps • Support RFx and sourcing activities, including bid comparisons and negotiated pricing and terms • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 1-2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a Procure-to-Pay function, including exposure to buying, vendor interaction, or commercial decision-making • Comfort with hands-on, transactional work and significant manual workload • Sound commercial judgment • Hands-on functional proficiency with Coupa, including requisitions, POs, approvals, and supplier records • Strong operational process and workflow discipline • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English • Ability to engage with business owners, vendors, legal counsel, and procurement staff • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple concurrent requests • Customer-service mindset with internal stakeholders • Strong attention to detail • Proficiency with Google Workspace or equivalent office software • Willingness to deliver other functional duties as required • Must reside in Costa Rica • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Nice-to-have: proficiency leveraging AI tools in day-to-day work • Nice-to-have: experience applying AI to procurement use cases • Nice-to-have: experience with intake and orchestration platforms such as Zip, Oro Labs, Omnea, or Levelpath • Nice-to-have: experience with Smartsheet
