• Manage northeastern U.S. territory and eastern Canada • Promote sales effort at desired price levels • Maintain customer relationships through communication and personal visits • Attend trade shows and keep conversant with industry trends • Facilitate internal company relationships for optimum product sales and delivery • Develop key accounts through cold calls and prospecting • Participate in sales department meetings to provide customer feedback • Utilize CRM software for recording customer information • Provide direction in sales planning and evaluate new market opportunities
• Bachelor’s Degree in a horticulture or agriculture field preferred • 3 to 5 years of relevant sales experience managing a territory, preferably in the horticulture industry • Strong communication skills and professional work ethic • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills • Strong analytical skills with a technical understanding of products • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) • Ability to travel approximately 50-70% of the time • Must currently reside in the northeastern region of the U.S.
