• Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility by contacting insurance companies and reviewing online payer portals. • Ensure all verification and eligibility details are accurate and complete within contracted timelines. • Maintain a structured system for initial and subsequent benefit verifications. • Prepare and update individual patient files and related documentation using a HIPAA-compliant system. • Generate daily activity reports for verification of benefits (VOB) tasks. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy. • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and compliance with all HIPAA and HITECH standards. • Perform other related or ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Office 365. • Strong background in Accounts Receivable, including follow-ups and appeals. • Understanding of HCPCS and CPT codes. • Experience with facility and laboratory billing (UB-04 and CMS-1500 forms). • Familiarity with HIPAA and HITECH regulations. • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written. • High attention to detail, accuracy, and professional integrity.
