📋 Description

• Build and own the platform powering all of Spacelift, from CI/CD to observability and incident response • Improve the code delivery pipeline by reducing friction, tightening feedback loops, and eliminating flakiness • Strengthen SLOs and observability to provide better signals to every team • Improve on-call experience through better alert quality, faster response, and improved postmortem hygiene • Optimize platform costs and scaling behavior across workloads and regions • Own internal developer experience, from local development to production debugging • Participate in the on-call rotation • Continuously learn about the problem space • Collaborate closely with the team using transparent communication and shared ownership • Contribute to product decisions, experiments, and engineering innovation

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for building products, love for tech, and interest in DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience • 4+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, with hands-on experience owning production systems • Experience working with Go • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, or developer-facing tooling • Experience being on-call and improving on-call processes and root causes • Experience working with an IaC tool: OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation • Excellent communication skills • Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies • Strong product mindset and big-picture thinking • Focus on solving problems, not just completing tasks • Nice to have: Experience with Claude Code, Datadog • Nice to have: PostgreSQL/Aurora optimization experience
