📋 Description

• Review business requirements and acceptance criteria • Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing • Validate insurance workflows and customer journeys • Identify, document, and manage defects through Jira • Participate in sprint planning, refinement, and release activities • Maintain and execute existing automated test suites • Assist in developing new automation scripts using FitNesse, Playwright, Selenium, and API automation tools • Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort • Support shift-left testing approaches and collaborate with developers and analysts to prevent defects early • Identify opportunities to improve quality processes and establish reusable test assets • Contribute to test data management activities • Execute performance and load testing using JMeter • Validate integrations between internal and third-party systems • Support API and interface testing • Assist with root cause analysis of production issues • Experiment with and adopt AI-assisted and emerging testing technologies

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years software testing experience • Experience executing manual test cases • Strong understanding of software testing principles • Experience with Jira and Agile delivery environments • Strong attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills • Ability to work effectively with Australian stakeholders • Experience with automation testing preferred • Exposure to FitNesse, Selenium, or Playwright preferred • API testing experience preferred • SQL and database validation skills preferred • Experience working on SaaS products preferred • Experience with offshore or distributed teams preferred • Insurance industry experience advantageous • Current State Skills: Functional Testing; Regression Testing; UAT Support; Jira; Confluence; FitNesse; JMeter; API Testing; SQL Queries; AI Assisted Testing • Future State Skills: Playwright; Selenium; Test Automation Frameworks; AI-Assisted Testing; Prompt Engineering; CI/CD Pipelines; Azure DevOps; Git; Quality Engineering Practices; Continuous Testing • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies • Quality mindset and ability to challenge inefficient processes • Proactive and self-motivated approach • Ability to solve complex problems and work within collaborative Agile teams
