📋 Description

• Manage the development and production of statutory financial reports including the Annual Statements, Quarterly Statements and Audited Financial Statements for all insurance subsidiaries • Manage a team to complete monthly and quarterly close activities • Ensure regulatory compliance, quality, and internal accounting controls • Oversee the preparation of internal financial management reports and board reporting materials • Effectively communicate statutory financial results to senior management • Manage the preparation and submissions required by state insurance regulators • Coordinate with individuals across the enterprise to provide detailed financial and statistical information in specific formats requested by rating agencies, state insurance examiners and other organizations in the insurance industry • Prepare analysis, presentations and recommendations regarding statutory data and results • Manage, coach, and develop team members • Identify and execute opportunities to create efficiencies, scale the team, foster knowledge sharing across the organization, and optimize operating model across a global workforce

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience • CPA, CMA or MBA (preferred) • 8 years of combined experience in insurance industry statutory reporting, financial reporting, management reporting, and supervisory experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience • Work experience with public auditing and regulatory agencies (preferred) • Supervisory experience leading a team and providing coaching, mentorship and development opportunities • ERP experience with data extraction and report building (preferred) • MS Office -- advanced Excel (required) • Power BI (preferred)
