📋 Description

• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and observable CI/CD pipelines in GitLab • Implement a shift-left security strategy by integrating scanning tools into developers’ workflows • Define severity baselines and lead the gradual transition of scanners from report-only to blocking mode • Containerize applications using optimized Dockerfiles, including multi-stage builds and minimal/distroless images • Manage the image lifecycle in Artifact Registry • Configure secure authentication between GitLab and GCP using OIDC / Workload Identity Federation • Instrument pipeline observability, including execution time, failure rate, and runner costs • Optimize performance and cost • Document and promote DevSecOps practices, serving as a technical reference for product teams • Contribute to a reliability culture, including SLOs, blameless postmortems, and toil reduction

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitLab CI/CD; experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins is transferable • Strong knowledge of Docker and image builds, including multi-stage builds, optimization, and container security • Experience with at least one cloud provider; GCP is a strong plus, including Artifact Registry, IAM, Service Accounts, and Workload Identity • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and scanning tools, including SAST, SCA, and secret detection • Bash scripting and at least one programming language, such as Python or Go • Git version control and Merge/Pull Request-based workflows • Nice to have: experience with GitLeaks, Semgrep, and/or Trivy • Nice to have: experience configuring OIDC / Workload Identity Federation between CI and cloud environments • Nice to have: infrastructure as code experience, such as Terraform or Pulumi • Nice to have: Kubernetes / GKE experience and deployment strategies, such as Cloud Run, GKE, blue-green, and canary deployments • Nice to have: experience integrating AI/LLM tools into engineering workflows • Nice to have: image signing with cosign, SBOM generation, and supply chain security (SLSA) • Nice to have: cloud certifications, such as GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or equivalent
