📋 Description

• Translate complex technical requirements into high-performing solutions for ecommerce clients • Work closely with merchant teams to integrate, optimize, and troubleshoot across diverse web platforms • Manage the technical lifecycle from onboarding through optimization • Debug JavaScript and write and refine transform scripts • Configure caching rules and diagnose complex CDN behaviors across Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and custom storefronts • Develop, review, and debug edge code to optimize caching, localization, and device performance • Monitor client implementations and rapidly resolve technical anomalies • Use browser DevTools, diagnostic tools, and internal APIs to analyze and correct latency or personalization challenges in production • Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned merchant accounts • Create documentation, tools, and processes to improve onboarding and technical support • Provide field insights to the product team to guide feature enhancements and roadmap decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, web performance, infrastructure engineering, solutions engineering, or a similar technical role • At least 2 years of experience working directly with customers or external stakeholders in a technical capacity • Strong proficiency in JavaScript • Hands-on experience using browser DevTools to inspect and debug HTML, DOM elements, network requests, cookies, headers, and client-side behavior • Deep understanding of HTTP caching, including cache keys, expiration, invalidation, purging, cookies, personalized content, and cache-safety risks • Hands-on experience configuring or debugging CDNs, reverse proxies, edge platforms, or similar caching infrastructure • Experience analyzing web performance using Core Web Vitals, LCP, TTFB, Real User Monitoring, Lighthouse, or comparable observability tools • Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex issues in live production environments using a structured, evidence-based troubleshooting process • Experience owning a customer launch, technical implementation, or migration end-to-end, including pre-launch validation, go/no-go decisions, and post-launch monitoring • Ability to communicate technical risks, limitations, delays, and difficult findings clearly to technical and non-technical customers • Comfort making and explaining rough technical estimates related to traffic, latency, capacity, percentages, and performance impact • Advanced English communication skills • Availability for at least four hours of daily overlap with US Eastern business hours • Comfortable participating in live technical working sessions using camera, screen sharing, browser tools, and real-time problem-solving • Preferred: experience working with e-commerce storefronts or e-commerce agencies • Preferred: experience with Shopify, including Liquid, Hydrogen, headless storefronts, or third-party Shopify applications • Preferred: experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware or other enterprise ecommerce platforms • Preferred: experience with edge computing platforms such as Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute, Akamai EdgeWorkers, Varnish, or similar technologies • Preferred: experience with web experimentation, personalization, or A/B testing frameworks • Preferred: experience working within GitHub-managed engineering workflows • Preferred: experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior engineers or support team members
