📋 Description

• Deploy, operate, and maintain NICE’s global customer-hosted databases • Resolve customer issues requiring direct access to database infrastructure • Administer the AWS console • Perform new deployments for databases and RDS services • Conduct AWS RDS database health and availability checks using CloudWatch and Performance Insights • Read and analyze database logs and error logs • Configure alerts, monitor alerts, and fine-tune thresholds • Perform RDS instance actions and compare configurations with Terraform code • Export/import PostgreSQL data and perform SQL Server backup/restore operations • Install and deploy databases; configure backups, maintenance jobs, and other features supporting capacity, performance, and product functionality • Perform database administration tasks across current database versions • Restore data; install or uninstall patchsets/service packs; perform edition upgrades and downgrades • Troubleshoot locking and corruption issues and implement solutions with minimal downtime • Perform operational duties including database backups, application server health checks, and service recycling • Identify and resolve operational issues such as batch failures, network issues, and client data feed errors • Monitor server performance, memory utilization, CPU, file systems, databases, batch jobs, and backup/restore processes • Prepare, review, test, and execute T-SQL and PowerShell scripts for database administration • Investigate performance issues and implement tuning solutions • Create and extend documentation, share information, and assist global team members • Work with monitoring tools • Provide 24x7 production SaaS infrastructure support, including on-call and out-of-hours/weekend support • Report to the Manager, Infrastructure Cloud Operations and work as part of the Database Team managing AWS Cloud databases

🎯 Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of experience as a DBA managing multiple database engines • Minimum 6 years of relevant DBA experience • Hands-on experience with multiple versions of PostgreSQL is mandatory • Knowledge or experience with Microsoft SQL, Aurora, and MySQL is an added advantage • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and AWS RDS • Basic coding skills in PowerShell, Python, and Terraform • Understanding of automated AWS backups, historical backup timings, and ad-hoc snapshots • Understanding of ITIL, including incidents, service requests, and change management • Willingness to learn database and backup infrastructure technologies, including storage, backup, operating systems, automation tools, cloud solutions, and other database technologies • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships in a global, diverse, multicultural environment • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology • Ability to provide 24x7 production SaaS infrastructure support, including on-call and out-of-hours/weekend support • Ability to work remotely in Colombia
