📋 Description

• Overall coordination, planning and management of patient and family education related to breastfeeding. • Providing lactation consultation and education services. • Breastfeeding assistance, support and education to patients. • Hands-on lactation consultation services on an outpatient and inpatient basis. • Evaluating specific lactation problems by telephone and developing a management and follow-up plan of care when indicated. • Responsible for maintaining a pump rental station, supplies, and equipment related to the service.

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) • IBLCE-Certified Lactation Consultant (certification may be required by entity and time to acquire dependent on qualifications for exam) • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider • 2 years recent relevant experience • Maternal-infant assessment skills. • Organizational skills with ability to prioritize, problem solve and meet deadlines. • Interpersonal and customer service skills. • Ability to manage own time and schedule own tasks. • Written and verbal communication and problem solving skills.
