📋 Description

• Own Sword’s Applied AI platform roadmap, from strategic initiatives and innovation bets through to platform upkeep • Work at the intersection of AI and product management with agents, evals, harnesses, and observability supporting care products • Own platform trade-offs involving cost, latency, quality, open-source models, and in-house development • Scope initiatives with Engineering, AI, and Product teams, balancing reusability with differentiation • Iterate closely with Engineering, Product, Clinical, and Operations to keep scope aligned with high-value member experiences • Maintain the quality bar after release and address model degradation in production • Own safety alongside the clinical team, including prevention, detection, and response to agent errors

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in product management, including recent hands-on ownership of an AI-powered product • Significant technical depth in AI, generative AI in particular • Understanding of models, prompting, retrieval, and agent architectures • Experience putting LLM-based features in front of real users • Experience with evaluation, annotation, observability, and AI failure modes • Ability to participate effectively in AI or engineering discussions • Ability to track the state of the art and bring innovation using sound product and technical judgment • Clear written and verbal communication • Experience using coding agents for debugging, data analysis, production monitoring, small builds, tooling, research, and process automation • Ability to manage and grow a small product team • AI proficiency at least Explorer (Level 1), demonstrating daily AI use to boost personal productivity • Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal
