📋 Description

• Own cloud cost efficiency end-to-end by championing FinOps initiatives that drive cost visibility, accountability, and sustained reductions in unit cost as we scale. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship especially around socializing the FinOps mindset across the broader Engineering team. • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud-based infrastructure using Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, and other relevant technologies. • Collaborate with our AI team to optimize data pipelines and integrate AI technologies to remove performance bottlenecks. • Refactor existing systems to enhance scalability, including transforming stateful components into stateless ones, and applying extensive autoscaling and auto-repair mechanisms. • Drive platform reliability initiatives, including enhancing alerting, health checking, and incident management. • Ensure the platform meets rigorous testing and security standards to maintain data integrity and security. • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure meeting SLAs.

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated success leading FinOps or cloud cost-optimization initiatives including establishing cost governance, driving cross-functional adoption, and delivering quantifiable savings at scale. • Core software engineering skills, including proficiency in languages such as Python and Ruby. • Strong system administration experience, including fluency with Linux, networking, and bash scripting. • Proficiency with GCP. • Proficiency with cloud tools and distributed systems, such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Postgres, and Elasticsearch, or equivalent technologies. • Ability to design and implement scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Experience addressing scaling challenges and resource contention in distributed systems. • Expertise in cloud data security
