📋 Description

• Review, track, and process copyright, trademark, artificial streaming, and other improper activity notices • Communicate with clients and third parties regarding copyright, trademark, and improper activity notifications • Track communication and response timelines, including strike and termination notices • Develop and implement policies for processing improper activity notices • Investigate potential improper activity and related matters using client, account, history, and other relevant data • Maintain, track, and store documentation and reporting for notices and related communications • Identify and implement process improvements for DSP partner requirements, privacy laws, DSARs, personal data deletion requests, GDPR, and other compliance obligations • Research and analyze emerging law and industry practices related to copyright and improper activity • Complete projects identified by the legal team • Liaise with internal stakeholders concerning legal policies, processes, and procedures • Support escalated legal matters involving copyright, artificial streaming, improper activity, and other legal issues • Brief the Associate Counsel, Rights and/or Head of Business & Legal Affairs on matter status, findings, and actions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree • Attention to detail • Self-motivation • Time-management abilities • Passion for and understanding of copyright law, DMCA, improper activity within the music and entertainment industry, fraud prevention, and related topics such as AI issues and regulation • Passion about the legal aspects of the music industry, particularly independent distribution and the independent music space • Positive attitude, works well, and is an active participant and communicator in a team-based environment • High standard of ethics and ability to maintain confidential information • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is not necessary but would be super helpful • Experience in copyright dispute management and improper activity, including artificial streaming and infringement • Experience with Zendesk or similar Helpdesk software • Experience with Monday.com Board applications and Excel • Willingness to tackle matters outside of core area of expertise
