📋 Description

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks • Develop data processing and transformation solutions using Python and Databricks • Work with large and complex datasets to ensure data quality, reliability and performance • Contribute to modern data architecture design and implementation within the Azure ecosystem • Apply Medallion Architecture principles • Support Data Vault and Business Vault architecture development using Databricks on Azure • Work with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, including shortcuts for cross-platform data integration and access • Contribute to data modelling within Azure Data Warehouse and related analytical environments • Collaborate with Data Architects, Developers, Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions • Identify improvements to data processing, architecture, performance and automation • Ensure scalability, security, maintainability and data governance best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Experience creating data pipeline using Python on Databricks • Experience working at the curated and product layers of data engineering • Experience transforming data using Data Vault 2.0, Kimball (dimensional) and 3NF modelling techniques • Understanding of schema evolution, slowly changing dimensions and data harmonisation techniques • Practical experience using DABs (Declarative Automation Bundles, formerly Databricks Asset Bundles) for deployment • Practical experience using Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub and ADO • Practical experience developing pipelines in an IDE environment, preferably VSCode • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, particularly OneLake shortcuts is nice to have • Knowledge of data modelling in Azure Data Warehouse is nice to have • Experience in financial services or wealth management is nice to have • Familiarity with data governance, data quality and modern cloud data architecture principles is nice to have
