• Drive a 20–26 foot truck in accordance with traffic laws and company policies • Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks to comply with motor vehicle regulations • Securely load trucks, optimizing load order for routing (e.g., last stop loaded first); unload undeliverable items or returns with proper documentation • Perform white‑glove delivery of appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washers, dryers), including placement in the customer’s chosen room, unboxing, and debris removal • Perform basic installations: level and connect freestanding electric appliances to existing power/water supplies, perform plug‑and‑play tests, and verify proper operation • Provide value‑added services such as removal of old units, door reversals, and stacking laundry units/placing on pedestals • Remove doors or door frames as needed to ensure safe, damage‑free entry • Use a handheld (Android) device to update delivery status, take photos, and submit proof of delivery (POD), maintaining 99% compliance • Immediately report equipment or app issues to supervisors • Follow safe handling procedures and use appropriate tools (e.g., moving blankets, straps, hand trucks/dollies, booties) to prevent damage • Keep the truck clean and report maintenance issues as needed • Comply with Canadian regulations for hazardous materials and recycling of removed appliances • Reinspect delivery routes/areas after installation to prevent property damage; promptly report any incidents • Document lost, stolen, or damaged items with photographic evidence and complete the bill of lading (BOL)/POD for freight claims • Immediately escalate material damage incidents (e.g., water, fire, injury) and assist with resolution and documentation • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs), including on‑time delivery, completion rate, handheld compliance, and customer quality of service (QoS) targets • Collaborate with teammates to complete 18–20 deliveries per day and support up to 15% additional volume during peak periods • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in line with company standards • Perform other assigned duties and special projects as required
• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record (driving abstract required) • 5+ years’ experience driving 20–26 foot trucks • 1+ years’ experience delivering appliances and performing basic installations in a high‑volume environment • Familiarity with white‑glove delivery standards and basic appliance installation tasks • Physical ability to lift heavy items, navigate stairs, and manually handle large products using proper techniques and equipment • Ability to work effectively with a delivery partner and follow directions • Comfortable using handheld devices and delivery management systems • Knowledge of safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and hazardous materials handling • Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken) • High school diploma required • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills • Calm under pressure, flexible with schedule changes, and responsive to feedback • Professional attitude, high standards, integrity, and results‑oriented mindset
