📋 Description

• Provide practical, business-oriented counsel to human resources, operations, and other teams on labor and employment laws and risk mitigation. • Evaluate, advise on, and manage pre-litigation, litigation, regulatory proceedings, and related matters. • Manage outside counsel, monitor budgets, and maintain internal reporting on employment and litigation matters. • Advise senior management on international expansion and country-specific risks. • Negotiate or advise on resolution of employment disputes and claims. • Monitor and manage the global employee hotline. • Audit investigation closure reports, analyze trends, lead review meetings, and publish HR dashboards. • Draft, review, and approve employment contracts, settlement agreements, policies, and procedures. • Develop and deliver training on labor laws and issues across India and other Asian and African geographies. • Review and provide legal guidance on disciplinary processes. • Lead and support investigations involving labor and fraud matters. • Represent Legal on global projects, initiatives, expansions, and developments. • Research and analyze laws and regulations and advise management of developments. • Manage, mentor, and support attorneys in India and the Philippines. • Perform other assigned duties and special projects.

🎯 Requirements

• Bar admission and good standing to practice law in India or the Philippines. • 8+ years of experience handling global employment law matters and litigation in-house or with an elite law firm. • Exemplary written, oral, and interpersonal skills and attention to detail. • Experience managing a team, preferably across different geographies. • Excellent professional command of English in written and verbal communication. • Ability to balance business and legal considerations appropriately. • Employee hotline program experience is a plus. • Experience working with BPO, KPO, BPM, IT/ITES companies is a plus. • Ability to provide accurate, reasoned, concise advice on short notice without undue reliance on outside counsel. • Ability to anticipate business issues, manage multiple competing projects, and maintain attention to detail. • Self-confidence to make decisions and follow through with peers and management. • Problem-solving aptitude, strong ethics, adaptability, willingness to unlearn and learn, and strong team-player capability. • Litigation experience. • Global employment law experience. • Team management experience. • Executive presence. • Must work core local hours while remaining flexible to support a global company and regularly overlap with US working hours.
