The mission of Teach Plus is to empower excellent, experienced teachers to take leadership over key policy and practice issues that affect their students’ success. The organization empowers expert teachers to advance policy changes and improve instructional leadership and teacher supports; trains and coaches teacher leaders to successfully mobilize and lead teacher teams; and empowers teacher leaders to be change agents among their peers and policy makers. Since 2009, Teach Plus has trained thousands of teacher leaders across the country who are driving policy changes and improving the instructional practices of teachers to create an education system driven by equity, access, and excellence for all students.

📋 Description

• serve as a key team member in building the CITEL learning engine • lead the CITEL Community of Practice • develop understanding of ITEL hypothesis across pilots • translate lessons into insights advancing community work • design and facilitate the Community of Practice • capture emerging insights and best practices into tools • build strong relationships and support meaningful learning across pilot teams • report to the Head of CITEL

🎯 Requirements

• depth of knowledge about High-Quality Instructional Material (HQIM) • instructional coherence • curriculum-based professional learning (CBPL) • proven designer and facilitator of adult learning • ability to translate a high-level vision into a concrete work plan • skilled in setting clear performance expectations • managing toward measurable results • directing the high-quality output of external consultants and project-based partners • consistent track record of achieving ambitious goals • tenacity and systems-thinking to navigate complexities • advanced proficiency in creating professional learning supports and tools • expert at cultivating partnerships with diverse stakeholders • ability to provide empathetic support and coaching while maintaining rigor
