📋 Description

• Own SEO and GEO for vergleich.org and other portfolio sites, reporting directly to management • Further develop the strategy for Google Search and AI search, and implement it with the editorial, product, and engineering teams • Own the structure, indexing, and internal linking of a website with a very large number of URLs and diverse content formats • Identify and resolve keyword cannibalization • Ensure that content is cited and linked as a source in AI-generated answers, and make this visibility measurable • Increase visibility, clicks, and referrals to partner shops from organic search • Analyze developments using data, set up SEO tests, and derive clear priorities • Ensure that content meets Google’s requirements for helpful content based on genuine experience and expertise • Build AI-supported workflows for analysis, content creation, and quality assurance • Manage SEO agencies and freelancers, set direction, and review results • Build an in-house team as the function grows

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of SEO experience, ideally with large content, comparison, affiliate, or e-commerce websites • Demonstrated success in growing organic reach, including, ideally, recovering from core algorithm updates • Strong technical and editorial SEO skills, including indexing, crawling, structured data, and information architecture • Solid understanding of how AI search engines select their sources, and enthusiasm for testing this systematically • Comfortable working with data and tools such as Search Console, GA4, SISTRIX, Screaming Frog, and Sheets • SQL or Python is a plus • Experience managing agencies • Leadership experience is a plus • Entrepreneurial mindset, impact-oriented prioritization, and pragmatic execution • Native-level German • Excellent English
