📋 Description

• TensorWave is leading AI compute and building a versatile cloud platform for AI innovation. • We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Center Design Engineer to design high-performance data center infrastructure and meet reliability, scalability, energy efficiency, and operational excellence requirements. • You will coordinate architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural elements from concept through construction, collaborating with internal teams, external consultants, and construction teams to align with business needs and global standards. • Develop data center layout and infrastructure designs, including electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems. • Produce and review design documents such as floor plans, equipment layouts, one-line diagrams, and specifications. • Collaborate with internal teams and external design consultants to manage multidisciplinary design coordination. • Ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime, TIA-942), and company design guidelines. • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and capacity planning analysis. • Participate in design reviews, value engineering efforts, and construction oversight to ensure design intent is met. • Support continuous improvement of data center design templates and standards. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in engineering design, with at least 2 years in mission-critical/data center projects. • Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or equivalent). • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure systems including power distribution, cooling, and space planning. • Knowledge of applicable standards such as NEC, ASHRAE, Uptime Tier, and local building codes. • Excellent technical communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Stock Options • 100% paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance • Life and Voluntary Supplemental Insurance • Short Term Disability Insurance • Flexible Spending Account • 401(k) • Flexible PTO • Paid Holidays • Parental Leave • Mental Health Benefits through Spring Health

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in engineering design, with at least 2 years in mission-critical/data center projects. • Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or equivalent). • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure systems including power distribution, cooling, and space planning. • Knowledge of applicable standards such as NEC, ASHRAE, Uptime Tier, and local building codes. • Excellent technical communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
