📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate the data backbone that powers analytics, dashboards, and AI/ML capabilities for a fast-moving technical organization in direct support of the warfighter • Architect and implement ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines across structured and unstructured sources • Design data models (medallion/lakehouse, star/snowflake, or Data Vault as appropriate) and operate the platform with observability, lineage, data quality, and cost controls • Work hands-on in a modern Microsoft data stack (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure SQL, ADLS Gen2) • Partner with the Power Platform and BI teams to ensure dashboards and apps consume curated, governed data • Implement data governance, security, and access controls aligned to DoD policy • Proactively solve unusual and/or complex problems with little, or no direction given and operate effectively in a fast-paced technical environment supporting senior military leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on data engineering experience in enterprise or DoD environments • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala) for data transformation and pipeline development • Demonstrated experience with Azure data services: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, and Azure SQL • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or equivalent lakehouse platforms • Experience designing dimensional and lakehouse data models for analytics and BI consumption • Working knowledge of CI/CD for data (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), source control, and infrastructure-as-code
