📋 Description

• Lead the teams building QV.AC features and app experience on top of Tether’s local AI stack • Report directly to the CTO and take direction from product leadership • Run app and feature teams day to day, including unblocking, reviewing, and maintaining delivery momentum • Set and maintain high engineering standards for performance, reliability, and clean APIs • Own technical design of features and the API surface between the AI core and application • Coordinate with AI research and deep-tech teams on code reviews, design, models, and inference • Partner with product managers to turn vision and roadmap into scoped, buildable work • Challenge unrealistic scope and propose better implementation paths • Bring engineering perspective to product decisions about local model capabilities • Use AI tools and rapid prototypes to validate ideas • Clarify team goals and define success criteria • Mentor team leads and improve team operating systems and collaboration • Lead by example while enabling teams to take ownership

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing engineers or engineering leads who ship consumer products, ideally AI-powered apps • Strong product sense • Intuition for applied AI and on-device constraints, including model size, latency, memory, battery, and reliability • Heavy use of AI tools and enthusiasm for experimenting with new models and capabilities • Deep JavaScript and React expertise • Initiative, curiosity, resilience, and ability to give and receive direct critique • Preferred: experience with local or on-device inference, LLM evaluations, cross-platform mobile and desktop apps, or open source • Excellent English communication skills • Application form asks candidates to identify their experience level as 1–3, 3–6, or more than 6 years in software development and product engineering
