📋 Description

• Develop a multi-sensor perception and fusion system for a drone early-warning system with a learning map architecture • Own the architecture across the devices’ entire technology stack • Build consensus among the hardware, platform, and AI teams regarding architectural decisions • Integrate software across a wide range of hardware devices using Yocto, Bash, Zephyr, and C/C++ • Collaborate with sensor fusion, MLOps, and DevOps engineers to enable fast and secure deployments • Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and continuously improve observability • Optional: Support on-site operations, collect sensor data, and validate the technology in controlled field trials • Work as part of a 35-person team of sensor, IoT, and hardware engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Citizenship of an EU member state required • Officially registered as a resident in an EU country • At least 5 years of professional experience in IT • At least 4 years of full-time professional experience as an Embedded Engineer • Strong expertise in Embedded Linux and Yocto • At least 2 years of full-time professional experience with a production-grade real-time operating system, particularly Zephyr • At least 2 years of professional experience in IoT • Fluency in C/C++ • Additional languages such as Go, TypeScript, Python, or Rust are a plus • At least 2 consecutive years working for the same employer • Fluent English; any additional spoken language is a plus • Willingness to work in the defense sector • Willingness to work exclusively in an operational, hands-on role—not in management—for the next 3–5 years • Ideally, experience with fleet data, Bash, Golang, MLOps, Edge ML, and DevOps • Ideally, initial cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure • Ideally, willingness to travel to Berlin for field trials 2–3 days per month • Knowledge of relevant embedded, robotics, sensor fusion, hardware-software, networking, AI, firmware, microcontroller, RTOS, toolchain, and testing technologies • Applications accepted exclusively through the company website, including an up-to-date résumé and links to LinkedIn and GitHub profiles
