📋 Description

• Serve customers with the full suite of products from within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (instrumentation, software, service and consumables) within a defined territory • Target customers including Academia, Government, Pharma/Biopharma, Environmental, Industrial, Food Safety and Healthcare • Identify and prioritize new client opportunities and develop solution implementation and growth strategies • Lead and nurture account relationships to drive expansion and renewals across the full CMD portfolio • Work collaboratively with customers, internal resources and specialists to identify, document and confirm best technology choices • Provide quotations, negotiate contracts and close orders after engaging all stakeholders • Apply data and metrics to develop and report on account development strategies and tactics • Expand account penetration, grow share of wallet, and maintain a pipeline to meet sales objectives • Use sales tools to manage accounts and forecast accurately and timely • Maintain awareness of competitors and industry activity and introduce new products and services • Coordinate with internal technical resources, attend/run technical meetings, trade shows, user meetings and customer events • Exchange sales leads across Thermo Fisher divisions and operate in a team selling environment engaging internal resources to solve customer challenges

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology or other applied sciences fields or equivalent combination of education and experience • Strong motivation to serve our customers and over achieve in a dynamic commercial environment • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and the ability to build and sustain long lasting relationships with customers • Ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team • Proficient in English both written and oral • Full UK driving licence • Computer proficiency in MS Office and other related programs • Willingness to learn the technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s scientific product portfolio, application workflows and selling skills • Ability to travel to customer locations up to 80% including overnight travel • Previous sales experience of instrumentation is an advantage; candidates with laboratory experience using relevant instrumentation will be considered
