📋 Description

• Manage, select, train, coach, and performance-manage Clinical Team Managers, Clinical Managers, and/or Clinical Administration for a specified geography • Functionally manage Clinical Team Managers and/or Clinical Managers to ensure successful execution of clinical deliverables on assigned projects • Direct clinical project objectives at regional or global level within cost, time, and quality requirements • Represent Clinical Management in global and/or cross-functional initiatives • Supervise and coordinate Clinical Management functions and mentor managers in day-to-day clinical deliverables • Ensure clinical teams have support and resources for study start-up, monitoring, and site management deliverables • Liaise with other functional departments at country level to deliver projects and contribute to feasibility projects • Ensure timely, high-quality execution of clinical deliverables • Develop and drive project or program strategies, annual plans, and targets • Facilitate risk meetings and develop and communicate contingency plans • Escalate risks, solutions, and clinical project or program financial issues appropriately • Manage clinical management resource levels, including hiring and promoting • Participate in resource calls and ensure adequate qualified resources • Induct new managers to PPD • Provide performance appraisals and evaluate and allocate bonuses and merit increases as appropriate • Develop and motivate staff through goal setting, feedback, evaluation, and delegation • Ensure staff training and mentoring according to company policies and procedures • Develop, implement, and review key performance metrics • Manage annual and long-range budgeting and forecasting for assigned groups • Participate in global, cross-functional, and process improvement initiatives • Work in an office environment, occasionally drive to site locations, and travel frequently domestically and internationally

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a life science related field • Previous experience in an FSP environment • 5+ years of project management experience • Significant clinical research experience comparable to 10+ years, including remote and clinical monitoring and all phases of the study life cycle • Line management experience appropriate to the size and complexity of the clinical management group in the designated country/region • Proven leadership skills • Valid Driver's License • Valid Passport • Excellent oral/presentation and written communication skills in the native language and in English • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and fiscal management • Knowledge and understanding of clinical development regulatory guidelines and Directives • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization • In some cases, an equivalency consisting of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience may be considered sufficient
