📋 Description

• Analyse existing Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models • Analyse existing Alteryx workflows and understand data ingestion and transformation logic • Identify source databases, schemas, tables, views, and columns used by reports • Trace data from source systems through Alteryx/ETL processes into Power BI • Understand SQL queries, joins, filters, transformations, calculations, and aggregations • Map relationships between Power BI reports, datasets, Alteryx workflows, and source tables • Create and maintain data lineage and source-to-target mappings • Document reporting and data architecture for technical and business stakeholders • Work with stakeholders to validate report logic and source data • Identify duplicate, unused, or potentially obsolete data sources • Collaborate during in-person one-week sprints twice or thrice a year

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics using Power BI, Alteryx, and SQL • 4+ years of experience in Power BI development and data modelling • Expert/Power User proficiency in Power BI • Expert/Power User proficiency in Alteryx • Strong SQL skills • Strong understanding of relational databases • Experience with data lineage, data mapping, and data discovery • Experience analyzing existing BI/reporting environments • Strong understanding of ETL/data transformation concepts • Experience with Power BI datasets/semantic models and Power Query • Ability to reverse-engineer existing reports and data workflows • Azure / Microsoft data ecosystem knowledge is good to have • Azure Data Factory knowledge is good to have • SQL Server knowledge is good to have • Data warehouse concepts knowledge is good to have
