Thomann. io is the technology and product development arm of Thomann GmbH, building and operating the company's international web shop and mobile app for musical instruments, audio, and event equipment. The team develops backend and frontend systems (PHP, Twig, React, React Native), infrastructure (Google Cloud/GKE and on-prem datacenter), and data warehousing, while practicing agile, remote-first product teams focused on scaling eCommerce, analyzing customer data, and improving the shopping ecosystem for creators and performers worldwide.

📋 Description

• Developing and maintaining customer-facing features and components across Content Management, Advertising and Customer Relations • Driving pivotal projects from development to production launch, including landing pages enhancements and expansion of marketing campaign features • Implementation and maintenance of new and existing Product features • Conducting thorough automated unit and integration tests to maintain high-quality standards • Leading technical solution planning and ensuring project goals are met within expected timelines • Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders and other engineering teams on business-critical projects and features

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of current work experience as a Backend Engineer working with PHP • Proficiency in OOP concepts, common design patterns, and complex database structures • Fluency in testing frameworks such as PHPUnit • Experience with common PHP frameworks such as Symfony is advantageous • Experience in managing code and dependencies with Git & composer • Hands-on experience with React is a plus, but not required
