📋 Description

• Design, build and optimize ML models for localization, including learning-based pose estimation, map-matching, and sensor-fusion pipelines using data from cameras, LiDAR and radar. • Develop high-performance training and evaluation workflows, leveraging frameworks such as PyTorch, distributed training infrastructure, and large-scale datasets. • Collaborate with robotics and mapping engineers to integrate localization models into the autonomy stack, ensuring performance and stability to meet real-time constraints. • Analyze failures, run ablation studies, improve model robustness, and conduct rigorous experiments to achieve production-grade reliability. • Contribute to system design, code reviews, best practices, and documentation across the ML and autonomy organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field with at least 6 years of professional experience in applied ML engineering for autonomous vehicles, robotics, or a related domain. • Master's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field with at least 3 years of professional experience in applied ML engineering for autonomous vehicles, robotics, or a related domain. • Experience with AV or robotic localization systems (e.g., LiDAR-based localization, visual odometry, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), or map-based pose estimation). • Extensive experience developing and deploying ML models in perception, localization, or sensor-fusion domains. • Proficiency with PyTorch and modern ML tooling for training, inference, and optimization. • Strong understanding of 3D geometry, probabilistic estimation, spatial transformations, and fundamental robotics concepts. • Proven ability to work with large multimodal datasets and to build scalable pipelines for data processing, labeling, and evaluation. • Strong software engineering skills in Python or C++, with an emphasis on clean, maintainable, production-ready code. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
