📋 Description

• Partner with Process Improvement, Product, DevOps, IT, Security, and other business functions to identify and understand workflow and process problems. • Translate ambiguous business problems into concrete technical approaches. • Map existing workflows, including systems, stakeholders, handoffs, dependencies, and bottlenecks. • Identify opportunities for automation and determine which problems are appropriate for technical intervention. • Design, prototype, build, and productionize automation solutions. • Integrate solutions with existing internal systems, APIs, infrastructure, and product workflows as required. • Communicate technical tradeoffs and proposed solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. • Work independently from discovery through implementation rather than relying on predefined engineering tickets. • Participate in DevOps ceremonies while collaborating with Process Improvement and Product stakeholders. • Demonstrate ownership and proactively identify opportunities. • Establish patterns and best practices to support a broader Forward Deployed Engineer capability. • Work within DevOps while operating horizontally across the company.

🎯 Requirements

• Previous hands-on experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a genuinely equivalent forward-deployed role. • Strong software engineering background and ability to build production-quality solutions. • Proven experience implementing workflow/process automation solutions. • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to discover and define problems. • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in ambiguous environments without detailed requirements. • Experience taking solutions from discovery/prototype through production. • Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving capabilities. • Ability to work across APIs, integrations, internal tools, and existing production systems. • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong ownership, autonomy, and leadership. • Reliable internet connection.
