📋 Description

• Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a program of activity and leisure pursuits designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan

🎯 Requirements

• A fire and passion for working with seniors • A flexible, fun, and energetic personality • Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred • Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area • Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing • Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting • Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting • Professional image in both appearance and behavior • Excellent written and oral communication skills
