📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, maintenance, and improvement of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data solutions. • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable BI solutions. • Establish and maintain standards for Power BI development, data modelling, reporting definitions, dashboard design, and documentation. • Design and maintain data models, relationships, calculations, and measures. • Develop and optimise complex DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and SQL queries. • Review dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions for accuracy, performance, usability, and consistency. • Monitor report performance, scheduled refreshes, and data dependencies. • Investigate complex data and reporting issues and identify practical solutions. • Consolidate reporting, reduce manual processes, and automate recurring reporting activities. • Support data quality and reporting governance. • Provide technical guidance and quality review across reporting and data activities. • Maintain documentation for data models, reports, data sources, calculations, standards, and reporting processes. • Perform other position-level duties as they arise.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in Power BI development, business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a similar data-focused role. • Strong hands-on experience designing and developing complex dashboards and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. • Advanced working knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and data modelling. • Strong SQL capability across multiple data sources, including extraction, analysis, validation, and troubleshooting. • Experience designing and maintaining scalable data models and structured reporting solutions. • Experience leading or providing technical direction across BI, reporting, or data-related projects. • Experience establishing or improving reporting standards, data quality practices, and technical documentation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to engage stakeholders, understand business priorities, and translate requirements into practical technical solutions. • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including explaining technical and data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple reporting initiatives and competing requirements. • Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership within an offshore support model aligned to Australian business hours.
