📋 Description

• Lead Unit4’s enterprise security target-state architecture and multi-year roadmap • Conduct enterprise architecture assessments across Azure cloud, networking, Kubernetes, identity and access management, CI/CD, secure software development, and AI/LLM environments • Partner with CloudOps, Product/Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and senior stakeholders to embed security into platforms and product roadmaps • Develop security reference architectures, patterns, blueprints, playbooks, and whitepapers • Design layered enterprise security architectures with defence-in-depth and resilience • Ensure architectural decisions incorporate regulatory, customer, and audit requirements • Design secure multi-cloud architectures across networking, compute, data, containers, and serverless • Collaborate on security design, engineering, and implementation within Microsoft 365 and Entra ID ecosystems • Consult on Microsoft security tooling including Defender XDR, Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, endpoint management, Azure Network Security, and Conditional Access • Evaluate new cloud services and identify and mitigate risks before adoption • Develop secure Azure reference architectures for AKS, compute, storage, data services, key management, and data loss prevention • Mature security by design in Product through pipeline compliance checks, architecture reviews, assurance, nonfunctional requirements, reference patterns, and threat models • Advise technical and non-technical audiences and uplift security knowledge across technical teams

🎯 Requirements

• 7–10+ years’ experience in IT or cybersecurity • At least 3 years in a dedicated security architecture role • Relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), or Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) • Proven experience designing large-scale, secure enterprise solutions in complex organisations • Deep technical expertise across Azure cloud, identity, network, endpoint, SaaS, and modern enterprise architectures • Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft security technologies, including Defender XDR, Defender for Cloud, Conditional Access, Entra ID governance, and PIM • Demonstrated experience delivering Zero Trust concepts in production environments • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and automation tooling • Knowledge of NIST, ISO27001, SOC reporting, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK, or CSA CCM is desirable • Experience with Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, or Python is desirable • Experience designing scalable hybrid or multi-cloud architectures is desirable • Experience in large enterprises, SaaS providers, or regulated sectors is desirable • Ability to articulate security risks and solutions to engineering teams and executive stakeholders • Facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and outcome-based delivery capability • Ability to operate independently, manage multiple projects, and drive technical decisions • Strategic thinking and ability to connect long-term goals with short-term action • Collaborative and credible across cross-functional teams • This role may require security clearance for customer projects and access to sensitive customer data • Background checks may require criminal record declaration, right to work, personal identification, and work history, subject to applicable local laws
