📋 Description

• Conduct research on an inclusive human-AI argumentative framework supporting UN Member States in SDG-aligned decision-making • Contribute to AI state-of-the-art research • Deliver a human-AI argumentative framework • Contribute to delivering a prototype • Support prototype validation with domain experts and stakeholders • Contribute to writing one publication and/or technical demo • Submit the publication and/or technical demo to a top-tier conference or journal • Work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Senior Researcher/Acting Head of Research

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in AI, computer science, data science, engineering, applied mathematics, or physics • Track record of publications and/or hands-on projects in trustworthy multiagent recommender systems and human-AI dialogue protocols, including counterfactual scenarios • Track record in designing explainable AI frameworks • Experience in AI projects with social impact in multidisciplinary teams • Strong communication skills in English • Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset • Must submit a daily remuneration rate as part of the application • Must complete required travel prerequisites at the consultant’s expense if mission travel is required • UNU does not sponsor a working visa for this position
