• Serve as the escalation point for Tier 2 issues, working independently to resolve complex technical problems -- including backup failures, replication errors, and recovery scenarios. • Administer and troubleshoot data protection platforms (Commvault, Zerto, Acronis, Cohesity, or similar), ensuring customer environments meet their RTO/RPO requirements. • Support customers through DR events, including failover execution, validation testing, and post-recovery documentation. • Mentor Support Agents by providing guidance and skill development, with emphasis on data protection workflows and escalation best practices. • Handle overflow customer calls as a subject matter expert, ensuring accurate and thorough trouble ticket documentation. • Participate in special projects and assignments as directed by leadership.
• Administrative experience in 2 or more of the following technology areas: Data Protection: Commvault, Zerto, Acronis, Cohesity, or comparable backup/DR platforms -- including policy configuration, job monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery execution • Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux (Red Hat, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, etc.) • Hypervisors: Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi, KVM • Public Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud • Tools: Monitoring or security platforms • Demonstrated experience with backup architecture, replication strategies, and disaster recovery planning or execution • Availability for after-hours support and on-call rotation • Experience in a data center, service provider, or telecom environment • Certifications in Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, Cloud, Storage, or VDI strongly preferred (Zerto ZTCP, Commvault Certified Professional, or equivalent)
