📋 Description

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux servers in production and staging environments • Perform system upgrades, kernel updates, patch management, and performance tuning • Implement and manage user access, security policies, and backup/recovery strategies • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, operating-system, and network-related issues • Maintain configuration management and deployment pipelines using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools • Monitor system health and resource utilization to ensure optimal uptime and performance • Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams on environment provisioning across AWS, Azure, or on-premises infrastructure • Manage server hardening, SSH configuration, SSL certificates, and OS-level security compliance • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and incident response activities • Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and audit reports • Support mission-critical systems and streamline infrastructure management processes

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience with Ubuntu and Red Hat • Strong command of Bash scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Shell, or basic Python • Experience with Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus monitoring tools • Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, and firewalls • Experience with VMware, KVM, Docker, or similar virtualization and containerization technologies • Strong troubleshooting skills involving system logs, kernel issues, and service failures • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipeline environments • Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure is an added advantage • Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to support global teams • RHCSA or RHCE certification preferred • Experience with high-availability clusters, load balancing, and RAID management preferred • Experience in enterprise-scale infrastructure environments or technology product companies preferred • Strong ownership and accountability mindset • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to issue prevention • Ability to handle pressure and maintain SLAs in critical environments
