📋 Description

• Develop code meeting defined software testing criteria • Produce software builds for loading onto target hardware from software source code within the VAS-X system • Produce integration test specifications according to project plans • Conduct tests defined in specifications and record failures • Produce FAT test results for each function developed • Produce system integration reports • Work closely with the development team to create, build and maintain dependable, effective code using appropriate Java frameworks or Oracle PL/SQL and Apex • Translate business requirements into data models and structures using MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL databases • Write complex, optimized SQL queries • Deploy, install and configure software releases • Use Git for version control and collaborative coding • Troubleshoot and debug software applications • Provide technical support • Support software solutions post-implementation and resolve bugs or issues • Document software solutions and systems • Participate in quality reviews and testing • Facilitate user acceptance testing sessions with customers • Conduct application functionality and performance testing using tools such as Postman • Use Bash/Linux for scripting, system administration and server management • Participate in cross-service activities and projects as required

🎯 Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Customer Service Management or Business Management • Minimum of 5-year applicable experience • Grade 12 • Standard literacy • English: read, write and speak • IT Degree or Diploma • In-depth Java knowledge, including J2EE, Spring, CAMEL and associated technologies • Experience and knowledge in CSS and HTML • Working knowledge of operating systems, including Linux • In-depth knowledge of SQL and industry-standard databases • Understanding and working knowledge of J2EE containers and web servers • Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle • Thorough RabbitMQ / ActiveMQ working experience • Experience in Scrum/Agile methodologies • Well versed in Docker and Kubernetes deployments • Strong problem-solving skills and accurate forecasting of effort required and closing timeframe • Respect and valuing diversity • Multitasker and self-motivated • Trusting, honest and accountable • Client/customer service orientation • Efficiency with attention to detail • Quality assurance orientation • High level of interpersonal and communication skills • Solid team player • Commitment to team deliverables while being cooperative and harmonious • Well-groomed and professional • Adaptable and able to work under pressure
