Partner with venture capital firms to enhance their financial accounting processes.

• Lead and mentor a team of Accountants to perform at the highest standard
• Perform accounting, analytical, & financial reporting operations
• Help general partners make more precise decisions by utilizing our tools that provide strategic support through accurate portfolio data and report metrics
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger
• Prepare investor allocations and ensure fees/allocations are correct
• Prepare financial information for investor reports
• Partner with third party providers and produce relevant financial and investor information that supports tax preparations
• Assist in the improvement of our product and software through cross-collaboration with our product and operation teams
• Help turn fund administration into a software business through consultative client engagements and efficient, industry-leading processes

Head of Fund Accounting (Remote)

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Manage financial operations of a fast growing startup
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and payroll
• Assist with hiring, benefits and human resources
• Working closely with fund accounting and finance team
• Provide financial reports to the leadership team and Board
• Manage State and Federal compliance and reporting
• Implement accounting and other finance software systems

Marketing

• Produce engaging content for social media
• Build a social media presence to attract a large following
• Assist with video and podcast creation

Operations

• Support the formation and maintenance needs of general partners around the world, potentially with expanding domiciles
• Review and assist counsel with drafting fund formation and governance documents
• Perform regulatory filings and be willing to learn about regulatory frameworks around the world
• Work with our evolving premiere SaaS for VC firms
• Help to manage legal partners, potentially around the world
• Work cross-functionally with other departments on complex and nuanced problem-solving at the intersection of business, legal, tax, accounting, etc.

Senior Operations Associate (Remote)

Content Marketing Manager

• Produce insightful content, data reports, and thought leadership and work with the Marketing Director to develop and launch an editorial calendar
• Develop a content strategy to have a leading SEO presence
• Write and edit specialized content and data reports on venture capital for in-house and external platforms
• Keep daily track of market news and industry developments, and work with our Marketing team to bring VC Lab’s voice to life
• Work with C-Suite to produce thought leadership content
• Research and write articles
• Help repurpose content from events, webinars, and other platforms
• Track content performance to inform editorial decisions and help grow our audience
• Other duties as needed
