📋 Description

• Contribute to the development of the Master’s program in Neurorobotics and support student recruitment. • Conduct Master classes and expert seminars in English on machine learning, decision models, adaptive systems, and AI-supported quality assurance. • Provide academic supervision, mentoring, and support for project and research work; design and evaluate portfolio assessments, examinations, and Master’s theses. • Carry out practice-oriented research and transfer projects in AI, robotics, and autonomous systems — in cooperation with industry, healthcare, mobility partners, international partners, and research institutions. • Initiate research collaborations and acquire third-party funding to strengthen applied research at our university. • Publish research results in journals and at relevant conferences, and represent the university at expert talks and industry events. • Be willing to participate in research-related product development, founding/start-up projects, and patent applications. • Participate in the academic self-administration of the university, support the further development of study programs, and engage in international collaborations.

🎯 Requirements

• A completed university degree. • Demonstrated pedagogical and didactic aptitude, evidenced by practical experience. • Special aptitude for independent scholarly work, typically demonstrated by an above-average doctorate in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or related fields. • Notable achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods, with at least five years of professional experience, of which at least three years must have been outside the higher education sector — preferably in artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, or data science. • Ability and willingness to conduct teaching, research, and transfer activities in English. • Willingness to develop and further expand higher education teaching competencies, particularly in (generative) AI-supported teaching. • Innovative teaching mindset: motivation to develop and apply new didactic formats in teaching. • Interdisciplinary openness: willingness to collaborate with colleagues in robotics, neuroscience, additive manufacturing, and digital business. • Practice- and transfer-orientation: proven experience applying AI technologies in real-world contexts such as industry, healthcare, or mobility. • International perspective: experience in international contexts or the motivation to integrate global developments in AI and intelligent systems into teaching and research. • Commitment to institutional development: willingness to actively help shape the founding and growth of a new university. • Research profile: a visible research focus in deep learning, reinforcement learning, intelligent control systems, or AI-driven sensor technologies. • Knowledge and technology transfer: understanding research as a bridge between science, industry, and society.
