📋 Description

• Program development: Contribute to the design and development of the Master’s program in Technology Business Management and assist in student recruitment. • Masterclasses and expert seminars: Deliver live sessions in English on big data, business intelligence, cloud infrastructures, and data-driven technologies. • Student supervision and examination formats: Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support for project and research work; design and assess portfolio-based assignments, examinations, and master’s theses. • Applied research: Conduct practice-oriented research and knowledge-transfer projects in data science, data infrastructures, and digital transformation in collaboration with industry and research partners. • Funding and cooperation: Initiate research collaborations and secure third-party funding to strengthen applied research at the university. • Publications and presentations: Publish research results in academic journals and present at relevant conferences; represent the university at specialist and industry events. • Transfer: Participate in research-related product development, start-up initiatives, and patent applications where appropriate. • University development: Contribute to the university’s academic self-governance, help expand the range of study programs, and engage in international collaborations.

🎯 Requirements

• A completed university degree. • Demonstrated pedagogical and didactic aptitude through practical teaching experience. • Special aptitude for independent scholarly work, normally evidenced by an above-average doctorate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. • Significant achievements in applying or developing scientific findings and methods, with at least five years of professional experience, of which at least three years should be outside the higher education sector—preferably in data analytics, digital systems, or data-driven business processes. • Ability and willingness to conduct teaching, research, and transfer activities in English. • Willingness to develop and strengthen higher education teaching competencies, particularly in (generative) AI-supported instruction. • Innovative approach to teaching: motivation to develop and apply new didactic formats in data science and digital systems education. • Interdisciplinary openness: readiness to collaborate with colleagues in AI, blockchain, robotics, and management. • Practice and transfer orientation: proven experience in industry or research projects that implement data science solutions or digital infrastructures in real-world contexts. • International perspective: experience in international settings or motivation to integrate global developments in data and systems science into teaching and research. • Commitment to institutional development: willingness to actively shape the foundation and growth of a new university. • Research profile: a visible research focus in big data analytics, cloud systems, AI-based data analysis, or digital infrastructures. • Knowledge and technology transfer: view research as a bridge between academia, industry, and society.
