📋 Description

• Apply and customize geospatial methodologies across sectors at scale. • Work with geospatial, climate, satellite imagery, and other datasets. • Contribute to project deliverables including analytical outputs, documentation, and reports. • Engage in customer-facing project discussions alongside a project manager. • Work with VIDA’s software platform as part of project delivery. • Extend agentic AI capabilities for internal and client-facing use alongside the senior ML engineer.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree and/or professional experience in geospatial data engineering, data science, computer science, AI, or a related technical or scientific field. • 2–5 years combining software/data engineering with geospatial applications. • Ideally, experience in climate, energy, and/or infrastructure. • Proficiency in Python. • Experience in software engineering, including latest developments in agentic development, and geospatial data engineering. • Genuine enthusiasm for using and building with AI tools. • Some experience delivering technical work within client projects and adapting to shifting priorities and timelines. • Comfortable communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and contributing to client discussions and deliverables. • Comfortable moving between projects across sectors and broader technical development as priorities shift. • Bonus: GCP, geospatial tools, climate / natural hazard modelling experience, extended knowledge in one of VIDA’s core sectors, and broader software/data engineering skills.
