📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a team of multidisciplinary analysts by structuring routines, fostering a culture of efficiency, and promoting the individual and technical development of team members • Lead and conduct ongoing diagnostics to contain attacks, identify operational vulnerabilities, and propose targeted improvements and workflow automations to reduce the chargeback rate • Perform critical analysis, validation, and recommendations regarding fraud rules in fraud engines for payment and card products • Define and implement fraud prevention strategies for customer onboarding and financial transactions • Conduct data exploration using SQL and Databricks to support hypotheses and design pragmatic solutions • Define and own strategic fraud KPIs, including confirmed fraud rate, chargeback rate, and avoided loss • Report performance and risks to the Executive Board and Risk Committee • Collaborate with Product and Business teams to align on the impacts of rules and communicate the trade-offs of fraud-related decisions • Evaluate new technologies and providers of antifraud solutions, leading proofs of concept and implementations of new solutions and methodologies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Law, Accounting, or a related field • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing people in fraud prevention, with a strategic focus on data analysis and the implementation of antifraud processes • Experience in financial institutions, fintechs, or the payments industry, with ownership of financial loss metrics and chargeback reduction • Experience developing and implementing strategies to detect fraud in financial transactions and digital onboarding • Experience with fraud detection and prevention tools, including creating and optimizing antifraud rules and models using outputs from scoring tools and rule engines • Strong data storytelling skills, translating data into clear, actionable insights • Practical proficiency in SQL and Databricks (or a similar tool) for data exploration, scenario diagnosis, report and dashboard creation, and hypothesis development • Analytical, pragmatic, and hands-on approach, with a focus on balancing risk mitigation, financial losses, and a positive customer experience • Intermediate English proficiency for communication with vendors (a plus)
