📋 Description

• Execute end-to-end initiatives under the data and AI governance program • Define policies, Data Owner and Data Steward roles, standards, and governance frameworks throughout the data lifecycle • Serve as a technical reference, mentoring junior and mid-level analysts and Analytics Engineers • Lead the corporate catalog using Unity Catalog or OpenMetadata, covering metadata, classification, lineage, and glossary management • Ensure documentation and adoption of the catalog by data-consuming business teams • Design and implement RBAC and the access lifecycle in partnership with Data Engineering and Identity and Access Management • Establish quality frameworks with SLAs, observability, and incident response for critical datasets • Deploy and operate cost management for the analytics sandbox, including a showback model and usage policies • Lead regulatory and privacy initiatives related to BACEN and Brazil’s LGPD • Support audits and build data dictionaries, lineage, and quality controls for regulatory data • Define governance standards for predictive AI and Generative AI, including inventories, model cards, monitoring, and responsible use • Establish governance metrics and dashboards to support leadership decision-making • Drive data literacy and secure self-service BI in partnership with the People team and Data squads

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in data and AI governance, including policies, processes, standards, metadata management, and cataloging • Experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog or equivalent platforms • Experience managing assets, metadata, data classification, access controls, lineage, and audits • Knowledge of relational and multidimensional data modeling and the Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) • Experience working in Data Lake/Data Lakehouse environments, from ingestion through consumption • Experience designing and implementing data access management using RBAC and least-privilege models • Knowledge of information security and Brazil’s LGPD as applied to the data lifecycle • Proficiency in SQL for diagnostics, access audits, and governance metric automation • Experience defining KPIs and building dashboards with Power BI, Lakeview, or Metabase • Applied knowledge of data management frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or similar • Knowledge of Data Mesh architecture, DataOps/MLOps, and data operating models such as Hub-and-Spoke • Practical use of Generative AI and agents to automate tasks and optimize workflows • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field • Preferred: experience with OpenMetadata • Preferred: knowledge of Python or PySpark • Preferred: certifications in data management or privacy, such as CDMP/DAMA, DCAM, or IAPP • Preferred: knowledge of Lean Six Sigma • Preferred: experience with data governance in regulated environments, including BACEN, SOX, or financial-sector audits
