• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve growth targets within the west USA municipal wastewater market. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with municipalities, wastewater utilities, engineering consultants, and system integrators. • Conduct technical consultations, plant visits, and presentations to assess customer needs and propose tailored solutions. • Deliver compelling product demonstrations highlighting equipment performance, efficiency, and lifecycle benefits. • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, applications, and product management teams to ensure optimal system design and equipment selection. • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with municipal end-users and channel partners. • Track projects from specification through bidding and procurement to close. • Regularly attend industry trade shows, professional conferences, and regional association meetings (e.g., CWEA, AWWA). • Travel extensively throughout west USA to support customers and pursue new opportunities.
• Residency & Travel: Must currently reside in California within convenient access to a major airport (Los Angeles, Sacramento, or San Francisco preferred). • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience selling process equipment directly into the municipal wastewater treatment market (pumps, dewatering, or solids-handling equipment preferred). • Strong understanding of pumping systems, fluid dynamics, and process troubleshooting. • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles from specification to close. • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a regional capacity. • Comfortable with CRM tools, project tracking, and sales reporting.
