📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day reinsurance cash operations, including premium payables, loss recoveries, receivables, payment tracking, reconciliations, and overdue balances • Coordinate with Treasury on cash forecasting and liquidity planning • Manage cash calls, collateral requirements, and funds withheld accounts • Escalate and resolve payment issues with reinsurers and brokers • Produce management reporting on reinsurance KPIs and cash positions • Deliver actual-versus-budget-versus-prior-year variance analysis • Contribute to financial assessments and business cases for new reinsurance programs • Support day-to-day reinsurer queries and discussions • Lead quarterly and annual settlement reconciliation meetings • Resolve disputes involving balances, payment timing, and contractual interpretations • Support treaty renewals on financial items and maintain reinsurer scorecards • Drive automation of cash tracking and reconciliation processes • Contribute to xLayer implementation, maintenance, and improvements • Identify efficiency opportunities and collaborate with IT and Finance on system enhancements • Ensure adherence to cash management policies and internal controls • Validate cash-related balance sheet accounts and support reinsurance cash and recoverables audits

🎯 Requirements

• Strong foundation in finance/accounting • Experience in cash management, reconciliations, and financial analysis • Experience ideally in insurance/reinsurance or another regulated financial environment • Ability to manage operational flows and build clear financial narratives • Ability to work with Treasury, Accounting, Reinsurance, brokers, and reinsurers • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial systems/reporting tools • Confident communication in English • Good understanding of reinsurance mechanics, including treaties, statements, settlements, collateral, and funds withheld • Ability to manage deadlines and cash accuracy • Ability to handle external counterparties and de-escalate disputes • Ability to translate complex cash and reinsurance topics for non-specialists • Comfort using digital tools for data extraction, anomaly detection, standard checks, traceability, productivity, governance, and auditability
