📋 Description

• Execute and secure reinsurance accounting processes end-to-end • Produce quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reinsurance account statements • Reconcile bordereaux data, including premiums, claims, and commissions, with internal systems • Calculate premiums payable/receivable and loss recoverables • Validate the technical accuracy of settlements • Coordinate with brokers and reinsurers on settlement queries, adjustments, and open points • Maintain accurate balances for reinsurance payables, receivables, and recoverables • Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities • Produce supporting documentation for auditability and audit requests • Participate in xLayer UAT, test settlement calculations and accounting interfaces, and support transition to new processes and tools • Contribute to continuous improvement and help train team members and business users on updated workflows • Act as primary Finance contact for reinsurer queries and discussions • Liaise with the Reinsurance team on treaty terms and technical questions • Coordinate with brokers on bordereau submissions and settlement timing • Support the Cash Manager on payment tracking and collections

🎯 Requirements

• Solid background in accounting/finance • Strong attention to detail • Comfort working with technical insurance data • Experience with reconciliations, closing processes, and audit evidence • Ideally, exposure to insurance/reinsurance accounting, including treaties, bordereaux, settlements, and recoverables • Comfortable working with Excel and finance systems • Ability to collaborate with brokers, reinsurers, Treasury, Reinsurance, and Finance stakeholders • Rigorous, structured, and reliable approach • Strong sense of ownership and a get-things-closed mindset • Clear communication and confidence handling counterparties • Comfort adopting new tools and using automation • Appreciation for traceability, controls, scalable processes, and audit readiness
