📋 Description

• Provide expert-level translation, localization, and linguistic support for Malagasy language projects • Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and contextual relevance in all deliverables • Review and edit translations to meet client requirements and quality standards • Implement quality control processes and resolve linguistic issues, including terminology consistency and style adherence • Lead Malagasy language projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other linguists to meet project goals • Provide guidance and support to linguists and junior team members • Facilitate training and development opportunities for the team • Develop and maintain Malagasy language glossaries, style guides, and linguistic resources • Ensure adherence to client-specific requirements and language standards • Serve as a point of contact for linguistic queries and client feedback • Manage and address client concerns related to Malagasy language services

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Language Arts, or a related field • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in translation, localization, or linguistic services • At least 2 years of experience as a Language Lead or in a Senior Linguist position • Native or near-native proficiency in Malagasy • Excellent command of English • Familiarity with translation and localization tools, including CAT tools and TMS systems • Strong knowledge of linguistic quality assurance processes • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and leadership abilities • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment • Experience working in the localization/translation industry for global clients (preferred) • Knowledge of Madagascar’s cultural and regional linguistic nuances (preferred) • Certification in translation or localization tools is an advantage (preferred) • Resume, cover letter, and portfolio demonstrating linguistic expertise and leadership experience
