📋 Description

• Lead the transition of regulatory communications and regulatory knowledge management activities to the Western Union Australia Compliance team • Facilitate knowledge transfer and capability development for sustainable ownership of regulatory engagement activities • Support ongoing regulatory interactions and maintain relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and governance frameworks for regulatory communications • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to the Western Union Australia Compliance team • Deliver compliance, regulatory, and AML/CTF training programs • Create and maintain training materials, guidance documentation, and knowledge management resources • Promote continuous learning and embed regulatory knowledge within the compliance function • Provide subject matter expertise for engagement with AUSTRAC and other regulatory stakeholders • Advise on regulatory commitments, remediation activities, and compliance initiatives • Support preparation and review of regulatory communications, submissions, and reporting deliverables • Provide guidance on emerging issues, regulatory expectations, and next-step actions • Balance regulatory compliance with positive customer outcomes • Lead regulatory communications and strengthen Compliance team capability through knowledge transfer and expert guidance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered • 7+ years' experience • Experience working in a regulator and with a regulator is very important • Strong experience and knowledge of compliance, focusing on regulatory compliance and interactions • Advanced senior stakeholder engagement, training, and knowledge transfer experience • Strong ability to present complex information in a simplified way • Strong ability to work in a fast-moving, rapidly evolving environment • Extensive subject matter expertise and practical experience in regulatory communications and engagement • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and AML/CTF requirements • Ability to support regulatory commitments, remediation activities, and compliance initiatives
