📋 Description

• Responsible for building and maintaining effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan that includes strategies for both new business and existing large key accounts. • Collaborate closely with colleagues from the Ovid Sales Team to maintain and grow existing accounts, while also working independently to create new opportunities throughout the territory. • Develop sales strategies for prospects and assigned accounts and manage deals successfully through the sales cycle. • Maintain a sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales objectives through prospecting and account management. • Plan, organize, and execute sales activities to achieve defined revenue targets. • Build and nurture strong customer relationships and generate new business within the assigned region. • Deliver presentations to prospective and existing customers in the target markets. • Conduct approximately 180 face-to-face on-site sales calls per year. • Plan and implement promotional activities and track sales actions for accounts within the region. • Prepare quotes, proposals and provide information regarding terms and conditions. • Participate in regional and national trade shows, conferences and sales meetings. • Gather and report data on market trends, competitive products and pricing to management. • Record sales activities, new prospects and all account information in Salesforce.com (CRM). • Prepare and submit weekly financial reports for the region.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record with several years of field sales experience • Experience with complex sales and solution selling • Consultative sales approach combined with strong presentation skills • Knowledge of the publishing/information industry and/or clinical and corporate markets • Familiarity with Ovid products and services is a plus • Proficiency with Windows, Internet/WWW, CRM applications and Salesforce • Fluency in spoken and written English and German • Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments within Health Research • Self-motivated, quick learner, disciplined time management and results-oriented • Highly organized and able to work in a structured manner, effectively managing tasks and priorities • Growth mindset
