β’ Lead the timely, effective, and accountable implementation of numerous projects in high-risk, complex contexts β’ Bares primary leadership responsibility for the successful implementation of multi-country, multi-partner grant-funded projects β’ Manage spending, operations and all other elements of the projects β’ Guide project operations and represent the project at high-level meetings and other events β’ Provide overall leadership and strategic direction of international and national organizations β’ Supervise and mentor a team of senior staff β’ Develop relationships with all stakeholders and manage grant/project budgets within approved spending levels β’ Monitor and communicate programming impact and manage risks across initiatives
β’ Bachelor's Degree Required β’ A masterβs degree in international development, business administration, non-profit management or related a concentration from an accredited U.S. college or university, or international equivalent preferred β’ Minimum 8-10 years of experience serving as Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Project Director, or similar senior leadership role for publicly funded large humanitarian programs β’ Experience managing sub-grants and contracts under grants for complex projects β’ Experience of leading large and diverse teams β’ Experience working with local, international, and community organizations β’ Strong understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and UN clusters β’ Experience leading programs valued at more than USD $100 million β’ Demonstrated experience in developing and managing alliances with the private sector and faith-based partners is highly desirable β’ Familiarity with Sphere Standards, IPC analysis, food security assessments, and nutrition programming β’ Demonstrated communication, creative problem solving, and management skills β’ Strong writing and oral presentation skills β’ Must be fluent in English.
